SWEET TASTE OF SUCCESS
AROUND 100 children at Winton School in Andover have been given the chance to test their marketing and presentation skills by developing an advertising campaign for MIKE AND IKE®.
MIKE AND IKE® and their sales and distribution agents, Petty, Wood & Co, teamed up with teachers at the school to devise a special project for year eight pupils aged 12-13.
The task was to develop a new advertising campaign for MIKE AND IKE® Fabulous Fruits, Tropical Typhoon and Berry Blast candies. The pupils were faced with the challenge of presenting their advertising ideas, including posters, jingles and video clips to a judging panel which included Mike Hogg, Chief Executive of Petty, Wood & Co.

The winning teams received certificates and prizes from MIKE AND IKE® and were able to celebrate in style the following day when the Techzone ultimate mobile gaming truck visited the school. Techzone features Formula 1 racing with professional-sized racing seats, steering wheels and foot controls plus a range of computer games linked to large screens.
Steve Foster, Regional Manager (Europe) for MIKE AND IKE®, commented: “We were delighted to be associated with this very exciting and successful project. The pupils put a tremendous amount of effort and enthusiasm into this project and the standard of entries was absolutely fantastic.”
Pupils from Winton School enjoy trying out the great games on Techzone, the ultimate mobile gaming truck.
