MIKE AND IKE® took to the streets of Manchester recently to give people a chance to try their delicious Fabulous Fruits and Tropical Typhoon candies.
MIKE AND IKE® teamed up with local radio station XFM and its Ground Crew team to hand out lots of free samples in the city centre, at workplaces, shopping malls and railway stations.
TENS OF thousands of students have had the chance to make friends with MIKE AND IKE over the past few weeks.
MIKE AND IKE have been handing out loads of tasty free samples at special Fresher fairs, events, parties and shows held at universities throughout the UK.
The tour took in universities in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Durham, Tees-side, Plymouth, York and Bradford, so we thought we publish a bumper selection of photos of lots of very happy students having a great time with MIKE AND IKE.

MIKE AND IKE® will be putting in a guest appearance during a special 14-night student promotion at The Oceana Club, one of the most exciting and exclusive nightspots in Leeds.
Visitors during the promotional period will all receive free samples of our brilliant candies as they explore Oceana’s seven specially-themed bars and nightclubs which each offer a flavour of a different country.
MIKE AND IKE® will be making a really big impression in Leeds with a series of events that will give residents and students a chance to enjoy our great-tasting candies.
MIKE AND IKE® has teamed up with the Yorkshire Post newspaper and its rather eye-catching promotional bus to arrange a series of events. The bus will be decorated with balloons and posters and a promotional team will be handing out thousands of free samples at Leeds University.
The MIKE AND IKE® bus will also be touring the city of Leeds and appearing at the Classical Fantasia event where our promotional team will once again be inviting people to “make friends with MIKE AND IKE®”.
During October, Yorkshire Post news vendors at 16 city centre sites in Leeds will be handing out free MIKE AND IKE® candies to anyone buying a copy of the newspaper.
MIKE AND IKE® have teamed up with TechZone, the ultimate mobile gaming truck, to bring a world of fun and entertainment to a host of big events.
TechZone is a huge mobile entertainment centre packed with all the latest games consuls, huge LCD flat screens and a great sound system. The TechZone truck will be hosting parties and visiting major events and MIKE AND IKE® have partnered with this fantastic vehicle to hand out thousands of free samples of their delicious Fabulous Fruits and Tropical Typhoon candies.
The TechZone truck features a wide selection of entertaining games on the latest Sony Play Station, X Box 360, Nintento Wii and PSP consuls. Some of these are hooked up to GameRacers with professional-sized racing seats with steering wheels and foot controls, all linked to an LCD screen for a great all-round Formula 1 racing experience. Visitors can compete against each other in brilliant, adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed races.
The TechZone ultimate gaming truck features MIKE AND IKE® logos and a sampling team that will hand out candies at all parties and events.
A more compact version of the ultimate gaming truck is also being launched, suitable for 10-12 players.

Mike and Ike recently made a big impression in Glasgow thanks a special promotion with the top-selling Glasgow Evening Times. News vendors at around 60 city centre sites and attractions handed out free Mike and Ike candies to anybody buying a copy of the newspaper. The promotion was also supported by an editorial feature in The Glasgow Evening Times.
MIKE AND IKE will be appearing at the famous Leeds Festival over the August holiday weekend – handing out thousands of tasty free samples to music fans. This great festival will feature bands such as Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon, so watch out for our promotional team and enjoy this chance to claim some free samples and make friends with Mike and Ike!
If you went along to Glastonbury, you may also have our Mike and Ike team handing out free samples to fans. Mike and Ike proved to be a big hit with fans attending the world’s largest Greenfield music festival.
As part of this summer’s Fabulous Festival of Fun, Mike and Ike also appeared at the Leeds Party in the Park on July 26.
